Jun. 13th, 2018 06:32 pmThe Harvest God of Winter and Spring, Hywel- or Howl, as some of the locals call him during particularly cold and windy months- is a relaxed and good natured- albeit somewhat absent-minded- deity. In contrast to his sister the Harvest Goddess, he has a more "go with the flow" attitude to the newcomers and his own duties; if spring comes late, it's usually because he forgot to shake off the frost and set it in motion. He has a fondness for rain and frost and can often be seen at his shrine- located in a clearing in Cindersap Woods- admiring thunderstorms or meditating on snowy days. By no means is he solitary by nature, though; more than anything, he enjoys a good tale, be it in song, story or poetic form, and loves to trade them with mortals. Long, cold winters are warmed by good company, after all.
In summer, he suffers with terrible allergies and attempts to cure him and remedies are always met with enormous enthusiasm. pls help gods aren't supposed to get hayfever this isn't fair
✽ HOW TO DATE HYWEL ✽
- Have at least six threads with twenty comments (10 comments per character) each with him.
- To summon him outside of events, your character must have already made a total pledge of at least forty comments, after which point he will appear when called upon regardless.
- Have made at least five offerings at his shrine specifically. Offerings can be physical objects such as crops and trinkets or more abstract things like poems, earnest prayers (none of that insincere shit son he'll KNOW) and songs.
- Have a good relationship with Marjorie- aka, do not hurt or otherwise upset his homegirl u will regret it.
- Perform a song or write a poem for him- the quality doesn't matter as much as the thought.
- Gifts:
- Nautilus shells, wild plums, any minerals found in a Frozen Geode, and coffee
